Why dos gatos?

Because one is dark and ebony sleek
with emerald eyes deep and green –
A sable jaguar from head to feet
gentle, calm, and serene.

Why dos gatos?

Because one is fiery orange and yellow
with biting claws as sharp as knives –
An incorrigible, mischievous, frisky fellow
a tiger with nine extra lives.

Why dos gatos?

Because it's become impossible to know
exactly which one is best to keep –
Looking equally adorable, cute and endearing –
all curled up together fast asleep.
