2020 Christmas!

There has never been a year like this one, 
too many catastrophes to count.
The calamity of abnormal suffering,
was nothing less than paramount!

So, it is with great trepidation 
I wish you a Merry Christmas 2020 –
A year when glee and joy were few,
and anguish, anxiety, and angst were plenty.

Yet, I commemorate the spirit of the season 
in celebrating the miracle of its embrace –
Insulating us from the cold dark winter,
like the warm hearth of a fireplace.

So, Merry Christmas! 
Happy Holidays, Hanukah, and New Year too!
Season’s Greetings and all God’s blessings.
This and more I wish for you!

May you and yours share love and cheer 
all through the season and throughout the year –
Hold fast to the chains of family tradition;
Eventually “normal” Christmases
will some day reappear!
