Sitting alone, remembering when…
Today was tomorrow and yesterday then,
when happiness and joy
filled our new lives together.
 
But the years have taken an eye for an eye –
Now the harder we struggle the harder we cry,
is the Love that we once shared
now gone forever?
 
Forever.
A fairy tale where Dreams come true?
 
Or just an adjective of time?
A concept Relative to mind?
Adjusting our perception,
over poetry and rhyme.
 
And time moves slowly,
and time moves fast.
We speculate our future,
while held captive to the past.
 
The good times fly by quickly,
but the bad times seem to last…
