In you I see the Hope of tomorrow,
the Joy of today.
You are the sparkle in my eye,
my Spirit at play.

You are the pride of my life,
the song of my soul,
my reason for living –
more precious than gold.

You are my son.

And in these times away from you,
I hunger for your laughter;
To help you with your homework,
and read: “They lived happily ever after”.

To take a walk – go to the park,
or even watch T.V.
It doesn’t matter what we do,
as long as you’re with me.

I wish that I could hold you close,
and feel you in my arms –
To tuck you into bed at night,
with hugs to keep you warm.
