Trying to escape the terror:
panicked,

aimlessly streaming –
Dissipating everywhere.
Desperately seeking anyplace to be...
but There.
They ran...
Toward the horrific chaos –
Into the rapid-fire abyss:
courageous,
protecting,
actively deflecting –
Refusing to dismiss,
the evil encountered in a nightmare...
like This.
Seven wounded,
Five dead,
the sacrificial bleeding,
of blue and red.
